Projects

We carry out pioneering national and international projects in consortia in which the Valladolid City Council is a key partner; European initiatives with a focus on decarbonization, sustainable mobility, urban renaturalization, adaptation to climate change, digital transformation, energy efficiency and circular economy, among other areas.

More than twenty innovation projects with European funding in recent years focused on sustainable development of Valladolid and, even more so, since the European Green Deal defines the roadmap of decarbonization, with people as protagonists and economic urban growth, social and environmental in the same balance.

Adaptation to climate change is the fundamental objective of this project; in which a "Climate Change Adaptation Strategy" has been drawn up, with a comprehensive approach, a common methodology and in collaboration with other cities in Spain and Portugal.

Citizen participation to improve public transport policies is one of the keys to this Interreg Europe project. It seeks that users contribute their vision for the design of a new sustainable mobility and that they change their routines and habits. All this in order to reduce the carbon footprint.

Innovative solutions in last-mile urban logistics to improve efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A Horizon Europe Project aligned with the green and digital transition.

Reducing the harmful effects generated by microscopic particles from the braking systems and exhaust pipes of combustion vehicles is the objective of Aerosolfd. A project that analyzes how these particles are produced and tries to apply innovative filtering systems to passenger cars and public transport vehicles.

Initiative focused on climate change adaptation while respecting the profile of each territory. It is a project aligned with the Valladolid Climate Agreement and is part of the city's Climate Mission. Some key points: innovation, climate resilience, and nature-based solutions.

A Horizon Europe project that aims to accelerate the process to climate neutrality by means of improving the efficiency and resilience in public transport systems in diverse fields (integration, multimodal, shared use, micro mobility…).

Strengthen cross-border cooperation between Spain and Portugal in a fundamental axis for Spain and Europe, the Atlantic Corridor. Made up of different cities and ports from both countries, it has been key to forming the Cencyl Cities Network in 2013.

Demonstrating in a realistic, measurable and replicable way the transformations that Big Data brings to the mobility and logistics market has been the goal of Transforming Transport, a Horizon 2020 project.
