More than twenty innovation projects with European funding in recent years focused on sustainable development of Valladolid and, even more so, since the European Green Deal defines the roadmap of decarbonization, with people as protagonists and economic urban growth, social and environmental in the same balance.

Active work and coordination between Spain and Portugal for climate change adaptation, generating projects that mitigate climate risks, and strengthening urban resilience factors.

An Interreg project, in cooperation with Portugal, which has sought to accelerate the transition from the "linear" model to the "circular" model, based on the efficient use of resources.

Digital transformation project to offer citizens and visitors unique access to Valladolid services, using new technologies. A project of the Smart Cities program, co-financed by the Valladolid City Council and European FEDER funds.

"Gamification" has changed the way of learning and stimulating the mind of people of any age or with some type of learning difficulty. INLIFE has developed a gamification platform and two demonstration games, one educational and the other for social inclusion for children with autism.

Project for the 'Renewal of residential urban spaces towards almost zero energy cities', in which Valladolid has participated along with 6 other countries. The objective of the project, led by CARTIF, has been based on developing innovative technologies for energy saving and reducing CO2 emissions. As demonstrators, in addition to the Cuatro de Marzo neighborhood in Valladolid, two other residential districts have been chosen, one in Genoa (Italy) and another in Kartal-Istanbul (Turkey).
