Call for Expression of Interest
This call is aimed at companies that want to have a decarbonisation plan with the aim of becoming more competitive and efficient, while reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to the climate neutrality pursued by the ‘Mission Valladolid, climate neutral city in 2030’.
Valladolid City Council offers comprehensive and free support for these plans to be developed over the course of 2024 and 2025, through the European Interreg ADAPT CLIMA CENCYL project.
To which companies is it aimed at?
Any company with tax domicile, registered office or a centre of activity located in the municipality of Valladolid that expresses its interest in becoming more sustainable and reducing its carbon footprint.
How and when can it be requested?
It is necessary to submit the duly completed application form by registering it at the City Council's Electronic Headquarters. In order to register correctly, it is necessary to read the attached explanatory document in detail.
The application period opens on 17th September at 00:00h and closes on 27th September at 23:59h.
Selection criteria
The selection criteria will be based on the order in which the applications are received in the electronic register of the City Council. Priority will be given to those companies that have previously joined the Valladolid Mission or that do so during the application period.
To join the Mission send a ‘Letter of Adhesion’ to our team at the Innovation Agency.
Free integral support
Valladolid City Council offers SMEs the free support and accompaniment of a specialised consultancy to help them reduce their emissions. Facilities, production processes and resources of the business activity will be analysed to evaluate and propose improvements that contribute to climate action. These improvements will be focused on water and energy management, waste, thermal comfort, mobility of workers and goods, among other areas.
Carbon footprint
One of the essential starting points of the plans is to measure the carbon footprint of each company, so that entities can enter it in the ‘Register of footprint, compensation and CO2 absorption projects'. This is a register created by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge to measure the efforts of Spanish organisations in their environmental commitment and the emission reductions.
