Those attending the Real Valladolid match against RCD Espanyol, tomorrow May 11th, will be able to participate in the raffle organised in collaboration with the football club.
The dissemination action is part of a joint collaboration plan between Valaldolid City Council and the club itself as part of its adhesion to the city's Climate Agreement.
Valladolid Mission, climate neutral city in 2030, will offer all those attending the Real Valladolid - RCD Espanyol match tomorrow Saturday (at the José Zorrilla Stadium, 18:30h) the chance to win two four-day trips to Brussels, with an accompanying person.
This dissemination action of the Climate Mission is part of an action plan organised jointly by the Valladolid City Council's Innovation Agency (IdeVa) and the city’s football team, Real Valladolid. The goal is to share with the citizens the importance of living in a healthy, carbon-free city that aims for zero emissions by 2030.
The joint action plan to disseminate the Climate Mission kicked off on 9th March with the match against Zaragoza, as one of the Spanish mission cities, along with Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Vitoria, and then in the match against Eibar.
To the match, on BIKI, and with Pepe Zorrillo
Within the campaign, special emphasis has been placed on promoting sustainable urban mobility through BIKI, the city’s bike rental system.
Since March 9th, Auvasa (the city's public transport company) has installed a series of bike pick up and drop off points at the stadium to encourage fans to take a BIKI to the football match to enjoy home games. And that they also use buses more, just like the footbal club mascot, Pepe Zorrillo, does in this promotional video.
The mascot has also parried the penalties of the little ones at the half-time of one of the matches. The children of the season ticket holders have scored their goals for the Mission with a t-shirt with the Mission Seal, seal that Europe has awarded to Valladolid for its Climate Agreement.
And the Real Valladolid players have accepted the Mission in this video which, as well as being the campaign's image, has been screened before and at the half-times of the matches.
The Valladolid Mission will also be present on May 11th at the fanzone with a photocall of the climate seal so that fans can have an image of this commitment to sustainability.
Valladolid City Council and Real Valladolid, an alliance for the Mission
In January, Valladolid City Council and the Real Valladolid Football Club, through Ronaldo Nazario, signed a commitment to sustainability. Thus, Real Valladolid was the first sports club in the city to join the Mission Valladolid, Smart and Climate Neutral City in 2030, with the focus on urban decarbonisation.
More than 60 public and private sector entities have already joined the Valladolid Climate Agreement with their sustainability commitments and programmes.
Through the alliance with Valladolid City Council, the Club confirms its support to the city on its path towards climate neutrality and in search of the transformative impact on society of the great 'Missions' that Europe has designed to achieve healthier cities.
The partnership addresses strategic areas for the city's quality of life improvement: energy, mobility and transport, circular economy, water, renaturalisation. In recent years, the Real Valladolid has been reinforcing its responsibility towards the environment and the use of available resources, in order to reduce its environmental impact and promote people's health.
