6 teams with 36 people have started their experience to generate new business models to face the current challenges within the 7th edition of Timmis Valladolid, promoted by the EYLO Association with the collaboration of Ideva.

Adding value to Valladolid's society and economy with answers to current challenges is the goal of the work of these 6 teams, with more than 36 participants selected to take their first step today in the 7th edition of the TIMMIS programme.

The programme, aimed at young university students, is funded by Valladolid City Council with 30,000 euros, through the Innovation and Economic Development Agency, IdeVa, in a collaboration agreement with the association EYLO (Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Leadership and Opportunities).

It will contribute to nurturing the objectives of the City Council's roadmap to attract and retain talent, with a focus on local innovative entrepreneurship.

In TIMMIS Valladolid, different profiles of engineering, commerce, philosophy, philology among others, are integrated into 6 multidisciplinary work teams that will address challenges related to sectors such as mobility and logistics, fashion and luxury, the video games sector, food, sport and healthy living, artificial intelligence and digitisation, tourism and cultural exchange, all with environmental, economic and social sustainability as their backbone factor.

The director of the Innovation Agency, Fernando Rubio, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to ‘take advantage of this training as a great opportunity to contribute value and talent to the challenges facing Valladolid. Moreover, in teams of different disciplines and with good mentors, they will be able to provide very interesting answers. In May next year we will see the fruits of this work, which will undoubtedly be very positive’.

Patricia Sanz, technical director of TIMMIS, stressed: ‘It is necessary to generate and promote an entrepreneurial, resilient and collaborative society that provides innovative responses to the challenges we face’.

Over the next few months, until May 2025, these participants will work together from the development of the idea to the definition of their business model in the pre-incubation phase. They will develop their innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship skills under the guidance of Blanca Araújo, Estela Llorente and Patricia Sanz.

The EYLO Association was born from the European regional development project led by the University of Valladolid.

IdeVa aims to make Valladolid a pioneering city in sustainable, balanced and circular economic development, generating new opportunities for economic activity.
