Urban freight distribution (UDF) is responsible for a good percentage of city journeys, as well as having an undeniable impact on road traffic.

Last mile’ delivery, as it is called, has multiplied in recent years and cities are looking at how best to manage it. They are also looking at new forms of delivery and measures to improve the sustainability of urban freight distribution.

URBANE

The European Urbane project, in which Valladolid City Council participates through the Innovation and Economic Development Agency, IdeVa, together with Cidaut and other partners, aims to improve the sustainability of the DUM through innovative measures that are being studied in four European cities: Valladolid, Helsinki, Bologna and Thessaloniki. One of the actions we are launching in Valladolid is this survey to give citizens a voice.

Do you know of any innovations to improve last mile delivery?
