LEGOFIT

New working method 

The LEGOFIT project brings together countries such as Turkey, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Hungary, Ireland and Serbia, all of which plan to conduct up to five sustainable retrofitting pilot projects. It seeks an advanced working method that integrates all building-related information during the building/retrofitting life cycle. 

The aim is to provide a new methodology to drive the shift towards energy-positive housing and to assist in the decision-making and implementation of innovative and smart solutions.

Citizen participation 

Another fundamental pillar implicit in the project is citizen participation, one of the key principles of the Horizon Europe programme. The residents of the buildings where the project will be implemented will be involved in the need for ‘renovation’ and in the actions to achieve sustainable renovation.

Decarbonization networks

LEGOFIT joins the objectives of the Green Agreement along with the ‘wave of renewal’ promoted by Europe contributing to the roadmap set by the Mission ‘100 Smart and Climate Neutral Cities by 2030’, in which Valladolid is engaged. In addition, the city has also joined the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance for 2050 and the Green City Accord. 

The city has also subscribed to the Global Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment to reinforce its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable renovation.

Award for urban regeneration

The city of Valladolid has success stories in the field of energy refurbishment such as RemoUrban, winner of the national award for urban regeneration. The results of the intervention in the FASA district of the city have reduced carbon emissions by 77% and consumption by 30%.
