Reducing CO2 emissions
Encouraging and supporting decarbonisation projects with an impact on the city of Valladolid is the objective of these "Valladolid Smart and Climate Neutral City Mission 2030" grants, which have a budget of 600,000 EUR funded by Valladolid City Council.
Actions that accelerate the path towards zero emissions with innovation as a key lever in the transformation of a smart, resilient and sustainable city.
This call seeks to promote the development of technology and processes to support energy transition and achieve a carbon-free urban environment, i.e. processes that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, expressed in CO2 tonnes.
Eligible projects may include research studies, technical analyses and/or decarbonisation plans, projects for the implementation of decarbonisation actions or awareness-raising, dissemination and training programmes.
Sustainable transformation
Among other criteria, the following will be assessed:
- Projects that reinforce the transformation of Valladolid into a greener, healthier, more inclusive and resilient municipality.
- The impact of the project on direct participation and governance, in such a way as to encourage the participation and awareness of all the agents of the local ecosystem.
- The promotion of public-private collaboration for innovation and knowledge transfer to reinforce the development of Valladolid as a cutting-edge innovative European city committed to climate change.

The areas correspond to the main lines of action of the Valladolid Climate Mission and its objectives.
- Promote a sustainable and safe urban and metropolitan mobility model.
- Commit to sustainability in the building sector and in urban space use.
- Build an autonomous and sustainable energy model.
- Advance in sustainable consumption and production by promoting Circular Economy.
- Promote a digital and sustainable local economy and industry.
- Strengthen the role of citizens as agents of change.
Beneficiaries
Private companies, business associations or groups, individuals, communities of goods, civil societies or other economic entities without legal personality, which can accredit, among other requiremen
- Registered office, tax domicile or work centre located in the municipality of Valladolid.
- In case of not having their registered office, tax domicile or centre of activity in the municipality of Valladolid, proof that the project has a considerable impact on the city in the fields of innovation and decarbonisation.
Grant funding
Projects must have a minimum budget of 18,000 EUR. The maximum amount for each beneficiary, with a maximum of 60,000 EUR, may not exceed 80% of the total cost of the eligible expenditure.
